A Tier 1 investor visa category is a viable option for individuals who have a high net worth and are willing to make a substantial financial investment in the UK. However, to qualify for a Tier 1 UK Investor visa, you will need to have access to at least £2 million and be willing to invest your funds in actively trading UK companies.
The length of time you can stay in the UK under a tier 1 investor visa varies. It is possible to switch into the tier 1 Investor category if you are already in the UK under tier 1, 2 or 4. You can apply to come to the UK for an initial period of 3 years and 4 months. If then you wish to switch into the tier 1 category from within the UK, You will be granted leave for 3 years.
You can apply for further extensions again and again. However, you must meet the criteria for extension applications.
