Keshini Rajendra Partner - Family Law

Keshini joined the firm on December 2024 as a Partner in the Family Department. Keshini undertakes all areas of Family Law arising from a relationship breakdown for married and unmarried couples, including Divorce/Civil Partnership Dissolution/Judicial Separation, Financial Matters, Child Arrangements, and Domestic Abuse. Keshini is experienced in dealing with complex financial matters for medium to high net-worth clients. She has been involved with many family cases where there has been an international element and has obtained successful outcomes in Children Matters where there has been parental alienation, implacable hostility, and cross-jurisdictional issues.

Keshini also gives advice and assistance with regard to Pre-Nuptial Agreements and Cohabitation Agreements.

As a member of Resolution, Keshini adopts their principles and guidelines to help achieve a constructive resolution for her family clients; however, she takes a robust and strategic approach in cases where her clients may not otherwise be served justice and equity.

Keshini is renowned for her compassionate, integrative approach and strong negotiation skills and her ability to communicate effectively with clients, combining empathy, diligence, and pragmatism.

Keshini recently settled a complex high value case with multiple assets involving third party interests in properties and companies. Financial matters were resolved a few months before the final hearing through rigorous negotiations with the other side’s legal representatives, thus saving substantial costs for the client and avoiding the risk of further litigation.

Keshini acted for an intervenor in an acrimonious case and successfully proved the validity of a Declaration of Trust in the Preliminary Issue Hearing, thereby securing a costs order against one of the parties.

Keshini settled a long-standing and problematic Schedule 1 Children Act 1989 case which involved enforcing (by way of lump sum and interest) child maintenance arrears which the father had failed to pay.

Keshini obtained a ‘without notice’ non-molestation order which prohibited the other parent from entering the child’s school or coming within a certain distance of the child and the child’s home. The order was granted on the same day as the application due to presenting evidence of significant risk of harm to the child.

Keshini was successful in a cross-application for a Non-Molestation and Occupation Order where the other party made an unmeritorious Family Law Act 1996 application against her client. She also obtained a costs order against the other side.

Keshini secured an enforcement order due to the other party’s non-compliance with a pension sharing order and obtained a lump sum for the client together with interest and a costs order against the other side.

Keshini successfully obtained a Special Guardianship Order for maternal grandparents where both parents were in active addiction.

Keshini handled a case involving the implementation of a QDRO in America in relation to a pension following the obtaining of a final Financial Remedy Order in England.

Keshini advised on a company law case where the divorcing husband’s brother owned multiple subsidiary companies under the umbrella of a parent company owned by him and his brother.
