Serena Tam Associate Solicitor - Dispute Resolution

Serena joined the firm in July 2024 as an Associate Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution team. She has experience across a broad range of commercial disputes, including unfair prejudice claims, contractual disputes, shareholders and partnership disputes, intellectual property disputes, and defamation claims. Prior to joining the firm, Serena worked in a magic circle firm specialising in high-value litigation, with a focus on crypto-related technology disputes.

Recent department work:

  • Acting for a private individual in a high value claim for passing off in respect of digital assets against two US-based cryptocurrency exchanges.
  • Advising directors and minority shareholders of an aviation company in a shareholders’ dispute involving allegations of fraud and breach of fiduciary duties.
  • Acting for an individual in bringing defamation proceedings in Antigua against a well-known investor and commentator within the cryptocurrency community, for various public statements and publications made on social media.
  • Acting for a body corporate and individual directors of a food manufacturing company in an unfair prejudice and unlawful means conspiracy claim brought by an ex-director and minority shareholder.

Serena attained her law degree at the University of Nottingham and later completed her LPC at BPP University. She trained and qualified at a regional firm in East Anglia before moving to London.
